Symposium Collective Memory-Work

In an attempt to connect practitioners and researchers who used CMW an international Symposium was planned for 2020 in Maynooth University, Ireland. Due to Covid-19 it was first rescheduled for 2021, and eventually cancelled. A number of smaller scale online meetings took place instead, leading to collaboration across the globe and exchange of experiences. Some of those also generated further material in form of working papers or essays that are now accessible. You may check the resources provided here.

It may be possible to come back in the future to the plan of bringing as many of us together at the same place to

  • foster an exchange about the use of CMW (its timeliness, its variations, the potential fields of application, its value in teaching, learning, research, social activism);
  • create an opportunity to build networks for cooperation and knowledge exchange across geographical and disciplinary boundaries;
  • build bridges for an increased transfer of CMW into non-academic areas.

After cancelling the Symposium pages referring to participation, accommodation etc. have been removed from the website, but you can still access information about the event that relates to topic/s and context:
